Boston Dynamics demonstrated its latest Atlas humanoid robot performing fully autonomous warehouse operations today, including picking, packing, and palletizing diverse product types without human intervention or pre-programmed movement paths.

The robot uses a combination of reinforcement learning and real-time 3D perception to handle objects ranging from fragile glass items to heavy industrial components. Boston Dynamics reports a 99.2 percent pick accuracy rate and throughput comparable to experienced human workers.

The company has signed pilot agreements with DHL and Amazon to deploy Atlas units in distribution centers starting in the third quarter of 2026, with pricing structured as a robotics-as-a-service subscription model.
